Solange's I Decided - here are the lyrics courtesy of elyricsworld.com
I Decided Lyrics
Ooooh
[spoken:]
Can't hear myself,
No00000
Can you please turn it up a little bit more
[verse 1:]
I was a little different;
I didnt do what the fast girls do!
Study my rhythm.....
Now you can speed me up when you want to
Oooh-oh
They were too cool to run the race
You kept the pace put the smile on your face
Go 'head baby (Go 'head baby)
Then I knew he was you (Then I know he was you)
But first you took me around introduced me to your family&friends
And told them how once we met that we would never lose
Oh Boy
I Decided
That you are the him for me
(I Decided)
Oh Boy
Because I decided
That you are the him for me
(yes you are)
Oh My Boy
How's it feel to win it?
When ain't no mountains that you can't move
Your mind is like a prism
For God's light to shine through
Oooh-ooh
They were too cool to run the race
You kept the pace put the smile on your face
Go 'head baby (yeaa) (Go 'head baby)
Then I knew it was you (Then I know it was you)
But first you took me around introduced me to your family&friends
And told them how once we met that we would never lose (never lose, never lose)
Oh Boy
I Decided
That you are the him for me
Oh Boy
Because,
I decided (I Decided)
That you are the him for me (You are the one for me baby yeah)
Oh My Boy (wow boy)
Running me runnin me down
Tellin me tell me wait
Runnin me down and telling me you are never gonna let go
It's the way you've got me (it's the way you got me when you got me baby.ohh now you got me baby )
Running me runnin me down (runnin)
Tellin me tell me wait (tellin me tell me you'll wai-heee)
Runnin me down & telling me you are never gonna let go
It's the way you've got me
baby
baby
baby
baby
babyyyeeee, woow
come here boy
dont break my heart
ooo
le'mme take it from you
(lemme take it from youuu)
baby
baby
baby
baby
babyyy, woow
(cuz were 1 ,and the closer i get to you)
(the more fearfull i become)
and that'll break me in two
(and that'll break me in two)
Because, I decided (I Decided)
That you are the him for me Oh My Boy (oh boy)
Running me runnin me down (runnin)
Tellin me tell me you'll wait (tellin me tell me you'll wai-heee)
Runnin me down telling me you'll wait
Never gonna let go
It's the way you got me
that's the way u
that's the way u got me baby
got me baby

These are the lyrics to a Sam Harris song - Change is on the Way. Check out his page
CHANGE IS ON THE WAY
(A tribute to Barack Obama) Change -- Change -- Change
Change is on the way.
CHange -- Change -- Change
Change is on the way.
Baby, let me tell you,
I've been up, down,
kicked around,
head over heels.
I see your face,
you're the same way too.
You've been so low,
touch and go,
you know how it feels.
But, hey -- but, hey -- hey!
Listen to me, when I say...
That I feel...
-- Change!
It's in the air!
-- Change!
It's everywhere!
-- Change!
... and we aint gonna pass this way again.
-- Change!
So, take my hand,
-- Change!
and take a stand.
-- Change!
I know together, baby, we can win! Yes!
With a little faith.
-- Faith!
With a little hope.
-- With a little hope!
With a little joy.
Change is on the way!
With a little trust.
-- Trust!
With a little courage.
-- Courage!
In a little while...
Change is on the way!
CHange -- Change -- Change
Change is on the way.
CHange -- Change -- Change
Change is on the way.
Baby, it's a strange time.
We're on a rocky road, overload,
feeling confused.
I look around, and it blows my mind.
It's been so wrong, for so long.
I'm feeling abused.
But, hey -- but, hey -- hey!
Listen to me, when I say...
That I feel...
-- Change!
It's in the air!
-- Change!
It's everywhere!
-- Change!
... and we all have the freedom
to make the choice.
-- Change!
So, take my hand,
-- Change!
and take a stand.
-- Change!
Express yourself, baby. Raise your voice!
With a little faith.
-- Faith!
With a little hope.
-- With a little hope!
With a little joy.
Change is on the way!
With a little trust.
-- Trust!
With a little courage.
-- Courage!
In a little while...
Change is on the way!
We are strong enough,
to weather the road,
till the race has been won.
We can step into the sun.
I got to believe that!

Barbara Streisand has written a blog that is pretty well thought out. It is a good read and it provide DETAILS. Not just mindless statements but details with source information (which is always a big plus for me).
You can check out her blog at: http://www.barbrastreisand.com/index.php?page=statements&n_id=854
Here is just some of the information that she included:
John McCain on Veteran Affairs:
2006 Rating from Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America: D
Veterans Benefits
Troop Withdrawal
Veteran Health Care
Troop Armor
(From the Veterans for Common Sense)
John McCain on Women’s Issues

I woke up humming this song so I had to go online and listen to it. The Youtube uploader even included the lyrics - thanks/arigato TecojobichiSensei
Every night I look to the skies and wonder what we did.
Always a naive point of view that breaks us in the end.
If I could find the meaning of it all I'd take the chance.
Maybe in time, we'll walk the mile a change it if we can.
It's now and always,
How did we get this far,
did we get this far, now?
Always,
We're making a brand new start,
just a brand new start, now.
Always,
Nothing can hold me down,
never hold me down, now.
Always,
Wave goodbye to me!
Around the world,
I'll find out why we came to be.
Around the world,
the secret lies in side of he.
Around the world,
I'll find the hero inside me.
But don't run away,
'cause if it's not okay,
I'll change that world,
into something better, honey.
Night after night, we take our time in searching for the clues,
All we can find our situations, hard times to be through.
But when we side together nothing can get in our way.
Using our minds to fight the odds, now watch me save the day.
It's now and always,
How did we get this far,
did we get this far, now?
Always,
We're making a brand new start,
just a brand new start, now.
Always,
Nothing will hold me down,
never hold me down, now.
Always,
Wave goodbye to me!
Around the world,
I'll find out why we came to be.
Around the world,
a secret lies in side of he.
Around the world,
I'll find the hero inside me.
But don't run away,
'cause if it's not okay,yeah.
And you know it's gonna be raining.
And you know it's gonna be hard. (Hard!)
As long as we trust each other,
nothing gonna break apart. Oh no! No!
If you wanna be somebody,
get up on your feet and go-o-o-o.
I know we're gonna meet each other,
somewhere around the globe!
Around the world,
I'll find out why we came to be.
Around the world,
the secret lies in side of he.
Around the world,
I'll find the hero inside me.
But don't run away,
'cause if it's not okay.
But don't run away,
'cause if it's not okay,
I'll change that world,
into something better, honey.

I'm sure many or all of you know about the death of Richard Wright (Pink Floyd) today. Found this great tribute on Youtube (thanks to prompen3)
via Wikipedia:
Richard William Wright (28 July 1943 - 15 September 2008)[1] was a self-taught pianist and keyboardist best known for his long career with Pink Floyd. Though not as prolific a songwriter as his bandmates Syd Barrett, Roger Waters and David Gilmour, he wrote significant parts of the music for classic albums such as Meddle, Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here, as well as for Pink Floyd's final studio album The Division Bell. Wright’s richly textured keyboard layers were a vital ingredient and a distinctive characteristic of Pink Floyd's sound. In addition, Wright frequently sang background and occasionally lead vocals onstage and in the studio with Pink Floyd (most notably on the songs "Time", "Echoes", and on the Syd Barrett composition "Astronomy Domine").

It seems that three of the members of one of my favorite bands - The Random Ninjas - have left the band. It is always sad yet understandable to see a parting of the ways with independent bands. I just wish each of the members much success in their professional and personal lives. I may not ever know the reason why but just hope that it all works out (which it usually do)

Heart have sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Republican Party in the US after controversial Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin used their song during her appearance at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday (September 3).
Heart singers Ann and Nancy Wilson say that the Republicans did not ask for permission to use their track ‘Barracuda’. The song is unofficially the theme for Palin, who was nicknamed ‘Sarah Barracuda’ when she played basketball in high school.
