From my Inbox: Stella's Notch Live

Hello all!

Just a quick reminder about the super clutch gig this weekend in Hermosa Beach, Sunday Aug. 24th! I don't mean to badger your endlessly regarding this gig so let me say this announcement about the gig:

FREE BEER with purchase of STELLA'S NOTCH debut album, "BEYOND WONDERLAND"! Only at CLUB705 this SUNDAY AUG. 24th!

That's right! When you purchase the Stella's Notch debut album "Beyond Wonderland" you get FREE BEER courtesy of Stella's Notch and CLUB705! So not only do you get to listen to some awesome live music that night, but you also get a sweet rockin' CD to blast in the car ride home that night, with you designated driver of course since you will be too colossally WASTED to drive yourself! Remember: The Stella's Notch fully endorses getting royally smashed... but more importantly we endorse drinking responsibly.

So shoot on by CLUB705 (705 Pier Ave.) in Hermosa Beach this Sunday and come get some!

Don't Forget

I would have loved to see this performance

I still smile thinking about their Japan Expo performance. Talented.

The lineup is augmented with four bigger acts for Wednesday nights from 8-10 p.m.: progressive rock Grammy nominees Ambrosia on July 30, indie rockers Pedestrian on Aug. 6, Sophie B. Hawkins (who has been on the road with Hillary Clinton) on Aug. 13 and the Gin Blossoms (shown here, making their only Southern California appearance) on Aug. 20. The lineup, organized by the city Department of Recreation and Parks, also includes some salsa, kids' shows and films.

First Song of the Day: Christina Aguilera's Understand

This is one of those songs that I always find hard to let go. I love it. I love the words, the vocals, the music and the old time feel.
