Christina Aguilera's Back in the Day lyrics

Lately I've been really enjoying this song. Maybe it is because I too appreciate so many of the artists that she mention. It is actually nice seeing someone from her generation knowing who they are and respecting what they brought to the musical world. Hopefully if you never heard of these artists or never heard of their work you would also look them up.

When I first bought Back to Basics I use to play this song endlessly. I don't think I will ever get tired of it. It isn't your usual radio fare but I love it. Also bring back memories of listening to my LP's

I've always been a fan of Christina Aguilera's vocals. I'm not a huge fan of Diddy, sometimes I am more than others. At times his arrogance is a turnoff but I respect his drive and ambition. I always felt he has an eye for talent but he is better at self-promotion than looking out for the other artists on his label. Too much of the talents on his label seem to just flap in the wind. That is just my opinion.

I bought and still listen to Back to Basics and this song is one of the reasons why. I love the way it reminds me of an album playing. I actually love the concept of the album. It is one album that I believe you should buy in its entirety to get what she is trying to do (rather than a single here and a single there)
