Christmas Song of the Day: All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth

Currently listening to a favorite Christmas CD of mine (Nat King Cole's Cole, Christmas & Kids) and this song is one of the tracks. Always have liked it.

Thanks to worldofchristmas.net for the lyrics and history

Don Gardner has penned the carol 'All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth' and it was first published in 1946. It has almost become a trend with every generation to introduce a new humorous Christmas song that is a parody of this song. In UK, a British comedienne named Dora Bryan recorded a parody on this song in sixties that said, "All I want for Christmas is a Beatle" and it was so funny that in became an instant hit.

Every body stops
And stares at me
These two teeth are
Gone as you can see
I don't know just who
To blame for this catastrophe!
But my one wish on Christmas Eve
Is as plain as it can be!

All I want for Christmas
Is my two front teeth,
My two front teeth,
See my two front teeth!

Gee, if I could only
Have my two front teeth,
Then I could wish you
"Merry Christmas."
It seems so long since I could say,
"Sister Susie sitting on a thistle!"
Gosh oh gee, how happy I'd be,
If I could only whistle (thhhh, thhhh)

All I want for Christmas
Is my two front teeth,
My two front teeth,
See my two front teeth.

Gee, if I could only
Have my two front teeth,
Then I could wish you
"Merry Christmas!"

Christmas Song of the Day: White Christmas

Definitely adored Bing Crosby. Loved his look, his voice and this song

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

A new Holiday Classic

Just heard this song on AOL radio and the kid sounds so cute. Oh yeah, we'll be listening to this every Christmas. Not so sure about the video but this was the only thing I could find that had the song.

This Christmas - Donny Hathaway

With Christmas coming up how can I not share this classic with you. Donny Hathaway you are missed

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

I hope that no matter where you find yourself in life that you will still be able to recognize all that you can be thankful for.
If by chance you truly feel you have nothing to be thankful for then take a deep look and be thankful that you realize that you need to make changes

Enjoy the holiday.
